FoundER & ATTORNEY
Patricia Frutig
Patricia began her estate planning career working in a bank trust department administering personal trusts and analyzing trust documents presented for administration. While at the bank, Patricia honed her sharp eye for detail and knowledge of trust-related issues from the institutional perspective. Patricia then then became a lawyer in order to apply what she had learned to the benefit of clients. She then joined a local Cleveland law firm where she specialized in estate planning and trust and probate administration for over a decade.
In 2011 Patricia founded Frutig Law in order to deliver independent, individualized service for her clients. Frutig Law is grounded in core values of integrity, diligence, community and compassion. Drawing on her B.A. in sociology, Patricia takes pride in her ability to help individuals and families successfully navigate complex personal and financial situations while avoiding court proceedings if possible. She has a deep understanding of issues that directly affect the aging population in Northeast Ohio, and experience implementing services on their behalf. Her casework continues to be focused in Cuyahoga and neighboring counties.
Patricia demonstrates her dedication to the community through the long-term leadership roles she has held with several family-focused non-profits in the Cleveland area, including her service to the Benjamin Rose Institute on Aging for over 35 years. She has chaired committees to build and operate HUD 202 housing for older adults. Through her service to the community, Patricia has learned ways to enhance guardianship needs, analyze mental health needs for clients, and received help with families needing adult protective services or Medicare assistance. Patricia also takes pride in her own family roles as Mom to three, Grandma to three, and Wife to one for over 50 years.

Attorney & MANAGING MEMBER
Brian Frutig
Brian has over 20 years experience in both business and law in the US and abroad. After spending time as a management consultant, Brian turned towards the law where he initially focused on international matters. Brian assisted on the defense team for individuals accused of war crimes at the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY). He also represented individuals injured in acts of international terrorism, including the September 11, 2001 attacks and bombings in Israel, Palestine, and Sri Lanka, by bringing civil suits against entities and high-net-worth individuals who financed the acts.
After working as a plaintiff-side civil litigator and human rights attorney, Brian shifted his focus to estate planning to have a greater impact at a community level. In 2016 he joined Patricia and expanded Frutig Law LLC to the states where he is licensed: California, Colorado, New York, and Washington, DC. Brian enjoys the close partnerships he develops with his clients. He strives to help them preserve family relationships, build closely-held businesses, and avoid unnecessary conflict.
Brian’s other passions include Liverpool ‘football’, trail running, and the Cleveland Indians. After retirement from the law he plans to open a bakery specializing in soft Philly-style pretzels.
